Here at The Smiling Pirate, we carefully select tips, tweaks and applications for your Windows computer. We feel that your pockets should be bloated, not your software. All of the applications found on The Smiling Pirate are FREE. Many of the applications available on The Smiling Pirate are better than the commercially available applications that cost hundreds of dollars. All of the applications found on The Smiling Pirate are being used on our computers so we feel very confident passing them on to you.
As an IT professional with over 10 years experience, I’ve used many applications similar to the ones you’ll find here on The Smiling Pirate. The one difference from the applications I used is that all of the applications on The Smiling Pirate are FREE. I’ve implemented many of these applications instead of the commercial applications for one simple reason. I believe in KISS (Keep It Simple Software). An application does not have to be bloated or cost a lot of money for it to be a good application. It just needs to work. All of the applications on The Smiling Pirate do just that.
