Recuva (pronounced “recover”) is a freeware Windows utility that can restore files that have been accidentally deleted from your computer. We’ve all done it at one time (including myself), when we’ve deleted something that we wish we hadn’t deleted and would do anything to get it back. That’s where Recuva comes in. This application is great for recovering files that have been emptied from the recycle bin, deleted from memory cards, and even for files that have been lost due to a system crash or virus. A portable version of this application is also available.
